My sisters have officially left for school. Kaylee is starting her junior year and Kristine is starting her freshman year! This means I'm living at home by myself with just my parents (and dog) for the first time since I was, well, 3!
This is sure to be an interesting adjustment. I get along great with my parents and they're wonderful roommates ;), but it's definitely going to be different without my sisters here! I thought moving home after college was a big adjustment, so here comes round two.
I'm so happy and excited for my sisters. They're going to be having so much fun, finding their independence and making memories! College is such a wonderful learning experience and I'm excited to continue to watch them grow! Do I sound like a mom?
Anyway, they know I like Arts & Crafts and asked me to make some decorations for their rooms in their dorm/apartment! If for nothing else, this skill and love of mine would have made me a great sorority girl! :) I was painting all last week for them! #SisterOfTheYear #ThankYouVeryMuch
Kristine wanted a sign that said "Hakuna Matata" and gave me the colors to use, but didn't really care about anything else... this is what she got:
I had seen an adorable sign that said "PS i love U" and decided she had to have it since she was headed to Penn State. So this sign will also be in her dorm!
And last but not least, she wanted a print that said "A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear" and waalaaa...
If you know Kaylee, you know she's a Plain Jane. Her wardrobe consists of work out clothes and the color grey! Kaylee wanted to spice up her room a little bit (SHOCKER) but wouldn't have done it herself, so she asked if I would make her something to put on her wall. I made her a little collage of canvases in chevron!
She does love pictures and puts them all over her walls to add a little character. I made her this heart of lights to put all of her pictures in. I think it will give it a nice touch! :)
I'm going to miss my sisters, but I now have my own bathroom for the first time, ever. So that's a plus!
Hopefully I'll make some changes in my life soon and my parents will officially be empty nesters! But until then... it's just me and the pup living with the parentals. Wish me luck!
